Jaime Loewen, Professional Counselor Associate (she/they/he)

About me: I’m a queer, nonbinary therapist originally from Oregon. I’m passionate about this work and feel honored to support others as they navigate healing, growth, and all the messy and beautiful parts of being human. Outside of therapy, you’ll find me riding my bike, tending to my garden, spending time with my loved ones and pets, and enjoying rest at home.

I strive to create a safe, collaborative, and supportive therapeutic space where you can explore difficult topics, engage in self-discovery, find moments of peace, or share a laugh. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and that therapy should reflect what you need in each moment, whether that’s conversation, reflection, rest, creativity, or play. Your autonomy and choice are central to our work together.

My approach is culturally affirming, holistic, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed. I draw from person-centered therapy, harm reduction, somatic and body-based practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I believe nature can be a powerful source of healing and connection, and I enjoy incorporating these elements into therapy when they align with your goals. I work collaboratively to meet you where you are and support you in finding approaches that feel meaningful for you.

I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, LGBTQIA+ community members, individuals in ethically non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships, and people impacted by systems such as foster care, child welfare, and the justice system. I also enjoy supporting families, neurodivergent individuals, and those with trauma histories, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship concerns.
